I’m a programmer/techy type with my creative energies directed more toward coding and problem solving, but during a recent bout of unemployment, I went into a bead store and was struck by all of the colors and shapes. So I got a bunch of different beads, beading wire, clasps and whatnot and made a bracelet for myself. It wasn’t exactly what I wanted so I unstrung it and restrung it a little differently. I wore it for a while and some friends thought it was lovely. I made a few bracelets for friends and then reworked mine again.
About this time, I got some money for my birthday so I went to Fire Mountain Gems (I asked some friends for suggestions of where to shop) and bought a bunch of beads, better tools and some storage boxes. I kept making necklaces and bracelets because the patterns pleased my eyes.
Then some friends suggested I exhibit my work at the Arisia Art Show this coming convention. I’ve made more pieces since then and have been very happy with the reception of my work.
I hope you enjoy looking at my work. If you see anything you like but would prefer a variation on it, please let me know!
